You can be a part of what God is doing across America right now! The only thing that can turn this nation around is a mighty move of God. It’s time for Christians to return to their First Love, get on fire for God and go outside the four walls of the church to reach a hurting world that is lost. This is the heart of God for this nation in this hour.
We are looking at a generation that has had no Christian up-bringing. Honestly, if parents didn’t decide to just abort their children, they were both so busy working that the kids were raised by child-care institutions, video games, television and public schools with teachers who taught them that there is no God and they descended from apes! Society and dead religion have presented God as this big mean ‘old man upstairs’ who just wants to take away their fun, put a bunch of rules on them, zap them with disasters and throw them into hell. They are joining gangs and cults to find a place where they can at least belong to some group that gives them a sense of belonging. They turn to illicit sex, drugs, alcohol, witchcraft, divination and all sorts of other new age deception looking for love in all the wrong places! Many who trusted in their money have learned in this economy that their trust has been in something futile. In the past, it was hard to witness to the wealthy, because they didn’t think they needed God. Even they are hungry for something real, too! When we go out on the streets (or door to door) and present the gospel in a loving manner, people are so hungry for love and truth that they literally line up to speak with our soul winners and receive Jesus! Be the answer to someone’s prayer today! Does that statement surprise you? Someone has been praying for the Lord to send a harvester into their loved one’s life. You may happen to be the very person who can speak into that person! I love being used by the Lord to be the answer to someone’s prayer! It is such a blessing. I stopped in the parking lot of a store one time and began to witness to a teenage boy who was returning the grocery cart after unloading the groceries into the car. I had gone through the soul winning script as we walked together, and he was ready to pray the prayer of salvation when we got back to his car. His grandma and little brother were waiting in the car. I stooped over and asked them if they knew for sure they were going to heaven. They both responded that they were Christians. I told them that I was going to pray the prayer of salvation with the young man I had been witnessing to. After we had prayed, I noticed that his grandmother was quietly weeping. She told me that she had been praying for years for this young man and his mother to be saved. She was thrilled that I had obeyed the Lord, and that she had been able to be there as he gave his life to Jesus! The cool thing is that, two days later, a couple of friends and I were in a hospital on the other side of town. We stepped off the elevator and ran into a woman and her small son. My friend, Lisa began to witness to the mother, who gave her heart to the Lord. My friend, Zonia had noticed that the whole time Lisa was speaking with the woman, her son had been staring at me. She asked him, “Do you know her?”…pointing to me. He exclaimed, “Yes! She led my brother to the Lord two days ago in the parking lot of the shopping center!” Glory to God! Grandma’s prayers for both her teenage grandson and daughter to be saved had been answered! There is nothing more thrilling than to be used of the Lord to usher people from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of God! I encourage you to go for it!
Many of us have been intimidated, ridiculed, mocked, ostracized or even threatened when we attempted to speak out about Jesus. Ask the Lord to give you His heart for the lost and the Holy Spirit’s boldness to share with others the awesome gift of salvation that you have been blessed with!
